Tableau Specialist (BI Engineer)
Our Fortune 100 Credit Union client is looking to bring on a Tableau Specialist (BI Engineer) in a REMOTE capacity for a contract through the end of 2024.
This is a 40 hour/ week full time, fully remote role, but candidates must reside within the continental United States to be considered. This is a W2 Contract so we can NOT do C2C arrangements.

Description
The Business Intelligence Engineer is a Tableau specialist who will focus on rebuilding and migrating dashboards and reports from legacy BI platforms and on-prem data sources to cloud native BI platforms. The BI Engineer will also provide technical support to enable users to leverage the new BI platforms and aid business users to self-serve and migrate their own dashboards/reports. BI enablement and technical support can include troubleshooting bugs or errors, assisting with data mappings, optimizing dashboard performance, BI semantic layer data modeling, gathering requirements, and creating useful documentation.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with business users to understand data analytics requirements
- Rebuild and migrate dashboards and reports from legacy BI platforms to Tableau and Power BI
- Design and develop visually engaging and informative analytics dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business users and internal stakeholders
- Provide Business Intelligence technical support and troubleshooting for business users
- Create BI semantic layer data models in Tableau and Power BI
- Gather requirements and generate useful documentation
Required Qualifications
- Significant hands-on experience with Tableau, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Server/Cloud
- Strong SQL and relational data modeling skills
- An analytical mindset with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Ability to communicate end to end data outcomes visually and through story telling
- Ability to manipulate raw data into effective visualizations, reports, and dashboards
- Experience with data mapping and gathering requirements
- Hands on experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Tableau Server Admin experience
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst
- Tableau Certified Desktop Specialist
- Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate
