Your Team & Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Developer on the Data Platforms team , you will partner with product owners, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to develop, implement, document and test APIs and self-service solutions
to supports diverse data and analytics platforms. You will be responsible for infrastructure availability and business continuation, improving the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the data platforms within our organization. In addition to technical experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do!

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
  • Implement infrastructure as code, develop self-service utilities, and automate complex tasks.
  • Understand and translate business requirements and needs into technical solutions.
  • Generate and maintain proper documentation.
  • Build and support data applications and batch processes using multi-tier/layer architecture.
  • Create, code and support solutions to automate the creation, management, or destruction of infrastructure; actively code against the roadmap
  • Analyze business requirements then design and code supporting infrastructure
  • Provide easily consumable services to software development teams to assist in the consumption of infrastructure solutions and partner to implement them
  • Accelerate application development by building patterns of infrastructure services that are consumed self-service, resilient, reliant and in accordance with Prudential standards
  • Automate unit and integration test cases, solve problems and add new value with automation
  • Apply infrastructure fundamentals to Linux/Unix operating systems, database, network and TCP/IP, and common communication protocols

The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
  • Leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills

Applied experience with several of the following:
  • Powershell, Python or similar programming languages
  • Data platforms, such as Power BI, Tableau, Informatica, UI Path, Microsoft Fabric, Denodo, native AWS data and analytics cloud services.
  • Automation Programming, such as Ansible
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS) experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

o Financial/Insurance industry knowledge is a plus, not a must

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $107,700.00 to $160,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
