#WeAreCrowdStrike and our mission is to stop breaches. As a global leader in cybersecurity, our team changed the game. Since our inception, our market leading cloud-native platform has offered unparalleled protection against the most sophisticated cyberattacks. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing over 1 trillion events a day with a petabyte of RAM deployed in our Cassandra clusters - and this traffic is growing daily. We're looking for people with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to developing and shaping our cybersecurity platform. Consistently recognized as a top workplace, CrowdStrike is committed to cultivating an inclusive, remote-first culture that offers people the autonomy and flexibility to balance the needs of work and life while taking their career to the next level. Interested in working for a company that sets the standard and leads with integrity? Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.

About the Role:

We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer to help develop our third party ingest pipelines as part of Next-Gen SIEM. You will be a part of the Platform group and help build the systems that ingest and parse third party data at petabyte scale. You will interact with product managers and other engineers in building both internal and external facing services.

You will be responsible for building fault tolerant, high scalable cloud systems using Golang.

This role has a strong preference to candidates located in EST, but is open to candidates located in CST, who are willing to work EST hours.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 9+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with event streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with NoSQL and Relational DB's
  • Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization
  • Experience in building data platforms at scale
  • GoLang/Java/Python skills with strong debugging skills
  • Experience working in Linux

Bonus Points:
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes based development and orchestration.
  • Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
  • Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
