Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:
We're looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis and documentation specifically for fixturing and tooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.
Required skills
BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience with CAD
Proficiency with NX, TeamCenter
Experience in DFA, DFM and manufacturing process development, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
5+ years of experience with design and development of hardware at scale (High End Optics and Precision Mechanisms desired)
5+ years of experience with development, test, deployment of military/aerospace systems
Experience with specifying/justifying margins and test sequences, and qualifying military/aerospace systems
Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience with production fixturing and tooling
Strong communication and writing skills
Preferred skills
Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trade-offs
Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools
Years of Experience: 5+ years

Top 3 Must Have Skills:
- Experience with CAD
