Job Description:
Pay Range: $77.14hr - $82.14hr
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor IT infrastructure and applications daily to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Provide real-time monitoring of Mainframe and Distributed systems to proactively detect and prevent service disruptions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Participate in Mainframe on-call rotation for Level-2 support and RCA preparation.
  • Implement changes and fixes to the production environment following established procedures.
  • Notify Level-2 support teams of issues and utilize monitoring tools for performance assurance.
  • Coordinate CandidatealthCheck calls for issue resolution and update operational documentation.
  • Create, modify, and manage job schedules across Mainframe, Windows, and UNIX using scheduling tools.
  • Monitor job queues, perform restarts, and update calendars to reflect current processing needs.
  • Support upgrades and contribute to scheduling tools implementation.
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation, procedures, inventories, and manuals.
  • Support audit requests and ensure compliance with IT security and operations policies.
  • CollaboXX with application and infrastructure teams to prepare operations for new projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to IT Operations, Service Desk, and Application teams.
  • Work with vendor support for troubleshooting product-related issues.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business resumption exercises.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe systems and enterprise job scheduling (e.g., CA7, Control-M).
  • Experience in system monitoring, job scheduling, JCL, ISPF, JES2, TSO, and MVS utilities.
  • Familiarity with DB2 basics, stored procedures, and data sharing concepts
  • Base knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using system dumps, trace analysis, and vendor support tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working independently and within a technical team environment.
  • Willingness to serve as backup Shift Lead and complete shift documentation.
  • Ability to maintain composure during critical system issues.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in CA7, JCL, TSO, ISPF, DFHSM, FTP, NDM, CICS, DB2, REXX, OPS MVS, TMON, TIVOLI, SAR, TPX, Visio.
  • Knowledge of DFSMS, IDCAMS, VSAM, HSM, ABARS, and ICF catalogs.
  • Familiarity with Control-M scheduler (preferred).
  • Experience with dashboards such as Datadog and BigPanda (preferred).
  • Understanding of SDLC and project coordination across IT teams.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience required.
