RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Computer Vision & Image Analytics.

Summary:
As an Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating AI-driven
solutions for the automated detection and analysis of powerline components, substation
equipment, and defects using 2D images and 3D point cloud data.

Responsibilities:
* Analyze and process 2D and 3D data (images, point clouds) to detect and classify insulators, rods, and associated defects, as well as primary, secondary, and auxiliary substation equipment (e.g., power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, arresters, and related assets)
* Evaluate the visual condition of substation equipment and powerline components, identifying defects and anomalies across a broad range of electrical infrastructure
* Calculate geometric features (e.g., angles, number of shells, spatial relationships) from
3D data for both powerline and substation assets
* Collaborate with AI engineers to design, implement, and test new algorithms for object detection and defect identification across diverse equipment types
* Annotate and validate datasets, ensuring high-quality ground truth for model training and evaluation, including substation equipment and their condition
* Work closely with QA and annotation teams to refine guidelines and improve detection accuracy for all relevant asset classes
* Document findings, methodologies, and results for internal knowledge sharing and reporting
* Support onboarding and training of new team members in 2D/3D data analysis workflows, including substation equipment evaluation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geomatics, Physics, or a related field
* Experience with 2D/3D data analysis, including point cloud processing and image
annotation
* Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, PCL, NumPy)
* Familiarity with 3D geometry, spatial analysis, and computer vision techniques
* Ability to calculate geometric properties (angles, distances, object counts) from 3D data
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data inspection and annotation
* Good command of English (spoken and written)
* Willingness to work in a collaborative, international team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for computer vision
* Knowledge of powerline components, substation equipment, and typical defects
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and MLOps practices
* Familiarity with large-scale data annotation and quality assurance processes
