Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: working and coordinating with the development team to ensure timely project delivery; developing and maintaining high-performance, reliable Java-based applications, focusing on optimizing architecture and functionality; leveraging Java 8, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring MVC, REST APIs, JSON, Avro or React to improve application functionality and integration; deploying and managing scalable infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, or ECS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub or Jenkins; automating tasks and system maintenance using Unix shell scripts; ensuring data integrity and optimized performance in Oracle and MS SQL databases; using monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics or Dynatrace to ensure optimal application performance, data analysis and swiftly resolve issues; managing projects and tracking issues via JIRA; conducting code reviews to uphold coding standards and ensure code quality.

Full-Time. Salary: $159,800 - $185,000 per year.
