Job Overview

The Business Intelligence Engineer shall apply specialized knowledge of modern analytics stack including Microsoft Azure Stack, Python, R, Excel, PowerBI, Databricks, and Snowflake to conceptualize, design, develop, unit-test, configure, and implement business intelligence and data insight solutions. The person will interact with internal and external customers, be responsible for generating documentation as needed; conform to security and quality standards; and stay current on emerging trends.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyze data to deliver actionable insights to support and drive operational and strategic

• advancements across the organization.
• Write dashboards and reports that are intuitive, clear, clean, and easy to understand.
• Document requirements and translate into proper system requirements specifications using high- maturity methods, processes and tools.
• Execute and coordinate requirements management and change management processes.
• Participates as a member of and leads development teams.
• Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.
• Completes development to implement complex components.
• Participates in cross-functional teams.
• Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.
• Represents team to clients.
• Demonstrates technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. A master's degree in analytics, data science or related field a plus.
• 3+ years of proven experience in data analysis, preferably related U.S. healthcare, using core data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel
• 2+ years of experience with Big Data technologies including Databricks, PySpark, Python, and varying types of Azure Storage
• 3+ years of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar experience.
• 3+ years of performing data engineering/ETL operations, preferably with Azure Data Factory
• 2+ years of data warehouse experience, preferably with the Snowflake data platform
• 3+ years of experience in SQL and be able to write complex logic using SQL as part of ETL, and use SQL effectively to perform complex data analysis and discovery
• Demonstrate strong organization skills and detail-oriented
• Experience with CMD shell and PowerShell
• Experience with large-scale, complex data environments
• Ability to self-motivate and meet deadlines
