Job Details

As the Data Architect, you hold a pivotal position responsible for nurturing the growth and success of our Data Practice leading client Data engagements through presales and delivery. This position entails driving presales activities, defining project architectures, and effectively communicating these plans to clients. As a leader within the team, you oversee a talented group of data architects, engineers, and scientists to ensure the delivery of exceptional service engagements tailored to our clients' needs.

Additionally, this role involves significant involvement in talent acquisition and shaping the future of our data team. The Data Architect is expected to contribute to our thought leadership by providing insights and innovative solutions to complex data challenges.

Essential Duties
  • Lead presales activities by engaging with potential customers to understand their data needs.
  • Define and propose comprehensive data architectures and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Present proposed solutions to customers, highlighting benefits and how they address data challenges.
  • Lead a team of data architects, engineers, and scientists focused on delivery excellence and project success.
  • Ensure successful delivery of service engagements, overseeing data solution from concept to completion.
  • Mentor team members, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
  • Support delivery leadership in the hiring process to identify and qualify top talent for the data team.
  • Assess candidates' technical skills and alignment with company values and goals.
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of the team's capabilities.
  • Contribute to the company's thought leadership with insights and solutions to complex data challenges.
  • Participate in the creation of blogs and other content that highlights technical solutions and innovations in data management, analytics, and AI

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science, is preferred.
  • 7-10 years progressive experience in roles across data architecture, data engineering and data science.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, capable of managing a high-performing team of technical professionals.
  • Proven track record in data architecture roles, with a strong preference for backgrounds in IT services or consultancy.
Qualities & Competencies
  • Expert knowledge of data management, modernization strategies, visualization tools, analytics, and AI technologies, including Generative AI.
  • Proficiency with leading data platforms and tools, with a specific emphasis on Microsoft tooling (Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, etc.).
  • Stellar communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex data challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data architecture and management.
