ECCO Select is seeking Red Hat Engineer to join our team. Candidates must have a strong background in RHEL 7, 8, and 9 with experience supporting satellite server, mail relay, and organizational automation efforts. This position is focused on the support of our federal client's datacenter enterprise.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) engineer providing support to virtual and physical systems hosted in VMWare and commercial cloud providers, preferred is experience supporting Satellite Server and mail relay
• Proven expertise in automating administrative tasks using Ansible and GitLab
• Demonstrates the ability to lead efforts of analysis and resolution of problems or issues; identifies when and how to escalate problems to the appropriate level
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently with varying deadlines and levels of importance
• Experience and comfort with change and ambiguity given the ever-evolving nature of the business
• Experience collaborating with Technology and Business Teams to deliver data and technology solutions that meet business objectives
• Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment, but also independently
• Strong detail orientation supported by ability to take a structured approach to achieve long-term objectives and build sustainable routines
• Must be able to pass a background investigation for clearance to work in the data center
• Bachelor s degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience

Duties

• Engineers and manages all aspects of the RHEL 7, 8, and 9 virtual and physical servers including; upgrading, patching, troubleshooting, resolving, designing, communicating, analyzing system logs, managing network, storage volumes and configurations, hardening systems to DISA STIG regulatory standard, configuration management, and system monitoring
• Provide engineering and administrative support to Satellite Server and mail relay including; designing, installing, upgrading, patching, troubleshooting and resolving related issues
• Perform coding/scripting to support automation efforts using Ansible, GitLab, etc.
• Document and perform changes and resolve incidents and problems using client's Configuration Management Tools and Systems
• Provide 24x7x365 remote support services and on-premises facility response as needed
• Provide knowledge transfer documentation to the client as required
• Participate in Agile project management and a DevSecOps culture as required
