Urgent requirement for the position of Founding Engineer, ML Systems - Full Time and Remote
Job Description: Why this role
You ll be part of the force that iteratively turns cutting-edge visions into technical reality. We build things that work, work well, and then work fast in that order. We value clean code, clear thinking, and pragmatic engineering. Candidly, we don t want AI gurus. We want classical ML folks with experience building (un)supervised models, random forests, and more. If you know math, you can figure out how to build agents.
You might be a fit if you
Have 5+ years building ML systems in production (not just notebooks)
Are fluent in Python + SQL
Know classical ML cold: time-series, GLMs/GBTs, cohorting, residual analysis.
Can design data-intensive systems
Write clean, tested code and enjoy the craft
Operate with high autonomy
Have domain curiosity for risk/credit/fraud even if you haven t worked in it before.
Nice to have
Experience with Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks, Postgres/pgvector, and Airflow/Prefect/dbt.
Time-series & anomaly tooling
Model monitoring/eval platforms
Early-stage or first/second engineer experience; you ve owned greenfield builds.
Familiarity with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and a bit of TypeScript for web dev.
Practical LLM/agents exposure or the appetite to learn it quickly.

Small team, high bar, lots of autonomy. You ll collaborate closely with the founder (specs, PRs, product shaping) and own large surface area end-to-end.
Quality code > fastest time to ship
Clear writing and simple designs. One good RFC is better than three ad-hoc meetings.
