Introduction: We are seeking a skilled QA Functional Tester with extensive experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the enhancement of our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy Development: Design and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for PBM systems, outlining test approaches, processes, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables
  • Test Execution: Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests for PBM applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand business requirements, user stories, and PBM-specific workflows, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit, or Cypress to enhance testing efficiency and defect identification.
  • Continuous Integration: Build and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to integrate automated tests into the overall development lifecycle using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and report defects, issues, and risks in a timely manner using issue-tracking systems such as Jira. Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and state-specific regulatory requirements through rigorous testing methodologies.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain quality testing standards and procedures. Provide preparation of Defect Status Reports and Daily/Weekly Status Reports.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Tester, with at least 3 years focused on PBM systems and healthcare applications.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JUnit, Cypress)
    • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
    • Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend verification.
    • Familiarity with database testing and SQL for validating data integrity.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of PBM processes, including claims processing, formulary management, eligibility, and drug utilization management
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve issues independently
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) is a plus.Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) for validating scalability.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and testing cloud-native applications.
