Our Challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Apps Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric, along with excellent analytical and documentation skills to drive data-driven solutions and streamline business processes.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95K-105K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and deploy scalable Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps) to support business operations.
  • Automate workflows and process automation using Power Automate, ensuring optimal efficiency and integration with various systems.
  • Create and optimize data queries and transformations using Power Query to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric (formerly Synapse & Power BI integrations) to build comprehensive data solutions and manage large datasets.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications and workflows.
  • Document technical specifications, system configurations, and process flows clearly and comprehensively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power Platform features and best practices, continuously improving the solutions delivered.
  • Provide support, training, and guidance to users and other technical team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in Power Platform development.
  • Extensive experience with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven).
  • Proven expertise in Power Automate for creating workflows and automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Power Query/M for data transformation and query building.
  • Deep understanding of Power BI for report and dashboard development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including data lake and analytics integration.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, relational databases, and data integration techniques.
  • Ability to write complex DAX and M queries within Power BI.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating external data sources.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate into effective solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills to produce clear technical specifications and user manuals.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with Azure services and cloud integration.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 tools and enterprise systems.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
