Position Title: Systems Engineer III Windows Engineer / Packager
Location: Raleigh, NC (4110 Wake Forest Rd NCO031)

Pay Rate: $35/hr - $40/hr on W2

Overview

The Systems Engineer III will serve as a Windows Engineer/Packager responsible for automation, scripting, and deployment of Windows 10/11 systems across a distributed enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has deep experience with PowerShell scripting, SCCM/MECM configuration management, and systems integration, with a strong focus on process automation, documentation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain automated scripts for software deployment, configuration, and data collection.
  • Perform remote deployments and integrations of Windows 10/11 systems across distributed networks.
  • Maintain and update infrastructure with the latest patches, configurations, and security updates.
  • Research, design, and recommend solutions to meet evolving system and operational requirements.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise documentation for processes, scripts, and systems.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Automation & Scripting: Strong PowerShell (v5) and batch scripting skills for system administration and automation.
  • Deployment Tools: Expertise with SCCM/MECM (Configuration Manager) for application packaging and deployment.
  • Operating Systems: Deep understanding of Windows 10 and 11 administration.
  • Networking: Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and secure communication protocols.
  • Active Directory: Experience managing Group Policies and integrating with AD environments.
  • Documentation: Ability to develop detailed, accurate technical documentation.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Tanium for endpoint management.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 8 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • OR if the degree is in an unrelated field, 12 16 years of directly related experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass client-mandated background checks including drug screen, criminal history, and credit check.
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for the past 5 years.
  • No more than 6 months of foreign travel in the past 5 years (military service excluded).
  • Interim or sensitive clearance may be required for continued employment.
  • Overtime must be pre-approved in writing (reimbursed at straight time).
  • Dress Code: Business casual (collared shirt/slacks; skirts below knee length).
