Vendor Delivery Manager / Program Manager
Location: Santa Clara, CA OR San Jose, CA 95134
Duration: 6+ Months Contract or Contract to Hire
Job Qualification:
- 3+ years direct relevant experience
- Proficiency with SLA Management tools like ServiceNow, Coupa
- Experience with PM tools like JIRA
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP
Job Purpose: The Vendor Delivery Manager will ensure that Client performs as a high-quality, accountable delivery partner, driving execution excellence, delivery outcomes, and alignment with business needs. This role requires strong vendor management expertise, leadership in delivery governance, and the ability to create productive yet rigorous partnerships with large consulting firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary manager for Client's delivery engagements, maintaining oversight of all activities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Define and Enforce Delivery Standards:
- Establish and ensure adherence to delivery SLAs (Service Level Agreements), KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and quality benchmarks to drive high performance and accountability.
- Continuously monitor delivery outcomes and address gaps or failures to meet agreed-upon standards.
- Escalation and Issue Resolution:
- Proactively identify blockers or delivery challenges and escalate them appropriately to drive resolution.
- Hold Client's accountable for commitments and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
- Internal Collaboration for Business Alignment:
- Partner closely with internal leaders and stakeholders to ensure vendor delivery meets the evolving needs of the business.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership while offering recommendations to optimize vendor performance.
Desired Profile:
- Vendor Management Expertise:
- Extensive experience overseeing large-scale systems integrator (SI) partnerships, with proven success managing complex engagements at an enterprise level.
- Demonstrated capability in delivery governance, ensuring vendor accountability, and driving execution excellence.
- Escalation Resolution and Accountability:
- Track record of effectively managing escalations, addressing delivery challenges, and holding vendors accountable for performance commitments.
- Relationship and Partnership Building:
- Skilled at fostering productive, balanced partnerships with large consulting firms while maintaining a rigorous approach to performance monitoring and delivery expectations.
- Strong Communication:
- Ability to collaborate across business and technology teams, ensuring alignment between vendor delivery and business needs.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large-scale consulting firms is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with delivery frameworks like ITIL, Agile, or SAFe to guide vendor delivery governance.
- Strong understanding of SLA/KPI creation and enforcement mechanisms.
- Technical fluency and ability to assess delivery processes tied to IT systems and business applications.
