Description
We are looking for an experienced GIS Analyst to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in geographic information systems to create, manage, and analyze spatial data, delivering actionable insights to support various projects and organizational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across teams and contribute to innovative geospatial solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update GIS datasets, maps, and web-based applications to ensure accessibility and usability.
Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks to support planning, engineering, and environmental initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver tailored geospatial solutions.
Design custom maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Conduct data conversion, geocoding, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Document and maintain metadata for GIS datasets and workflows.
Automate GIS processes using Python, ModelBuilder, or related scripting tools.
Assist with field data collection and integration using mobile GIS tools.
Provide training and support to internal users on GIS software and applications.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience working with GIS technologies, demonstrating attention to detail.
Proficiency in GIS products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcCatalog.
Experience managing spatial databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS or ArcGIS Server.
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages, including Python and ModelBuilder.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within a team environment.
Familiarity with open-source GIS tools or remote sensing technologies is a plus.
