Grow your career with an innovative global bank in New York City, NY as a Project/Program Manager with a focus on Capital Markets. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's/University degree.
  • 8+ years of financial industry experience managing Capital Markets, Market Risk, Finance, and Regulatory projects..
  • Strong and proven track record in strategic Capital Markets project management and delivering complex solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in Capital Markets Transformation or similar Front Office roles including familiarity with Quantitative, Market Risk, Capital, Finance, and Regulatory concepts.
  • Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for high-visibility initiatives.
  • A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate performance.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Masters degree.
  • Project Management certifications e.g. PMP.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects related to recovery and resolution plans.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Drive the timely execution of strategic Capital Markets programs and deliverables through the diligent application of program management principles and standards.
  • Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans, and manage timelines.
  • Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy.
  • Ensure that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level.
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives including working closely with Front Office, Quantitative, Finance, Market Risk, Product Owner, Controls, and Technology teams.
  • Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs.
  • Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees.
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach, to support the execution of programs.
