** Looking for candidates local to the Dallas area only. This is 100% onsite role**

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the client's strategic projects and initiative. Responsibilities include project governance to reduce risks for our client by leveraging project management principles and tools. In addition to collaborating with the IT teams, the Senior IT Project Manager will be partnering with Corporate PMO and business stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure and drive consistent project delivery and alignment of technology approach. The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for composing and submitting executive-ready project status updates, including but not limited to progress against timelines, risk mitigations, and issue resolutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

The individual must have excellent project/program management skills, technical acumen, and ability to interact/influence teams outside of IT including third parties.

-Tracks and manages project roadmaps/schedules for upstream and downstream dependencies.

-Responsible for managing the relationship between IT and the business for the project and/or program.

-Coordinates with business, other IT business units as well as vendors within the assigned program to ensure proper project documentation and resource utilization across program.

-Maintains strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and IT resources by using effective verbal and written communication skills.

-Provides leadership to the IT project team, fosters a positive team environment, and provides direction in ambiguous situations.

-Utilizes negotiation skills to influence and creatively achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, budget, issues/risks, and resources for both internal and external stakeholders.

-Proactively exercises initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to program success. Approaches risk identification and mitigation, accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.

-Understands how individual project workstreams affect the project/program and exercises judgment in raising issues and risks to the executives.

-Arbitrates and resolves conflicts within the program when necessary. Understands appropriate paths and methods for escalation.

-Managing the program s budget.

MUST HAVE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

-Strong practical experience in project management gained through managing large and complex projects.

-Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.

-Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program.

-Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

-Strong leadership and management skills.

-Excellent interpersonal skills

-Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management.

-Strong practical experience in project management gained through managing large and complex projects.

-Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.

-Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program.

-Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

-Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.

-Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and other relevant software

-Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Project Management software/Smarsheets.

-10 years' experience in project management and quality management

-Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, multi-tasking environment

-Proven ability to interact with various levels of management and other Associates

-Strong grasp of project management principles

-Experience with the development and implementation of IT, Digital, and Retail Price Management solutions and systems.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Background in Marketing and Merchandise a plus

Rate: $75-78/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week. Contract duration is 6 months with possible extensions. This position currently does not offer any benefits.
