We are seeking a seasoned Systems Design/Architect to join our Business Architecture team, with a dual focus: delivering enterprise-grade systems architecture and leading the design of AI powered business systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical innovation, business strategy, and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with product development, engineering, UX, and business associates to outline and deploy scalable, resilient, and observable solutions that bolster our worldwide, multi-product business.

What you'll Do
  • Drive our innovation strategy and roadmap for addressing high priority opportunities.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Digital Media Business Unit, UX, and others to deliver new innovative solution features.
  • Define AI performance targets and business impact metrics.
  • Partner with our internal customers to develop closed-loop learning systems for continuous AI optimization.
  • Advocate for responsible AI practices and educate interested parties on emerging AI trends.

What you need to succeed

Required
  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture or enterprise systems design.
  • Strong understanding of architecture design principles, cloud-native patterns, and business process optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience with business applications powered by AI and familiarity with:
    • Knowledge graphs, vector databases, language models.
    • AI integration patterns (RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering).
    • Agentic AI protocols (MCP, A2A, OAP)
  • Strong cloud architecture literacy (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform) and AI services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI).
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, SAP, Gainsight).
  • Excellent visual and written communication; comfortable presenting AI strategies to VP+

Preferred
  • Experience in a global, multi-brand enterprise with both B2C and B2B customer models.
  • Experience implementing AI in marketing, sales, customer success, and support.
  • Familiarity with AI IDEs (e.g. Cursor, Replit), enterprise AI search / RAG (e.g. Glean), open-source frameworks (e.g. LangChain), agentic frameworks (e.g. CrewAI), cloud bot/agent services (e.g. Vertex AI, Amazon Lex)

Key Responsibilities:

Core Architecture & Innovation
  • Drive architectural design for multiple initiatives, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions and validate them with customers.
  • Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) and maintain architecture documentation.

AI for Business Applications Leadership
  • Design and optimize enterprise application architecture across marketing, sales, customer success, and support.
  • Apply advanced capabilities, such as predictive analytics, generative technology, conversational tools, and intelligent automation, to improve customer engagement, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance and ethical AI practices, including alignment to global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and responsible AI governance frameworks.

Multi-functional Collaboration
  • Translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to deliver innovative features.
  • Advocate for adoption of new technologies and architectural improvements across teams.

Success Metrics:
  • Delivery of scalable and resilient architecture aligned with business goals.
  • AI use cases prioritized; architecture standards updated for AI components.
  • AI functionalities coordinated within marketing, sales, and customer success functions; Proven improvement of ARR and operational efficiency.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $132,300 -- $253,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
