Job Title: Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Chicago, Denver, and Charlotte
Work Arrangement: onsite
Client Industry: Banking
Duration:12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong Linux system administration experience, expertise in infrastructure support, and hands-on knowledge of PKI, OpenShift, scripting, and containerized environments. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to work across complex systems and server environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise-level infrastructure and provide expertise across systems and applications.
- Collect information, analyze data, and evaluate current or proposed systems to improve reliability and performance.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade:
- Operating systems
- Hardware components
- Software platforms and integrations
- Troubleshoot technical issues across Linux and Windows server environments.
- Apply security and networking best practices to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Work with web applications and IIS environments, ensuring uptime and scalability.
- Utilize scripting to automate, optimize, and support system administration tasks.
- Support and manage containerized environments using OpenShift and Docker.
What We re Looking For:
- Senior-level infrastructure support experience
- Linux Systems Administration/Engineering
- PKI & OpenSSL experience
- Windows Servers & IIS application support
- OpenShift and Docker experience
- Strong scripting skills (Perl & PowerShell)
- Problem-solving and deep troubleshooting min
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $60 $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
