Job Details
As a Structural / Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties:
1. Designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of new infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings.
2. Conducting site inspections and surveys to ensure the feasibility and safety of proposed construction sites.
3. Using Civil 3D and other engineering software to create detailed designs and plans.
4. Performing load factor rating and load factor calculations to ensure the structural integrity of designs.
5. Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and professionals on project planning and design.
6. Preparing reports, proposals, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with local and national regulations and best practices.
8. Continuously updating knowledge of current trends, practices, and regulations in civil engineering.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree will be considered an asset.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site development, bridge construction, and load factor rating.
4. Proficiency in Civil 3D, Mathcad, and other relevant engineering software.
