Job Description

The System Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, repurposing, and disposal of corporate computing equipment, software, phone systems, printers, and network infrastructure, along with supporting users in various ways described below.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Installs, configures, and supports software applications
  • User administration, password resets, and other Help Desk tasks
  • Effectively communicates with external and internal users to resolve issues with profiles, permissions, authentication, access, applications, etc.
  • Develops and maintains documentation such as user guides, asset inventories, etc.
  • With guidance of a senior resource, investigates and provides recommendations for hardware/peripheral/supplies purchases. Maintains on-hand inventory
  • Reports to the Infrastructure Supervisor
  • Works closely with internal teams such as Infrastructure, Security, Help Desk, and Customer Service. Works with external users to assist with problem resolution and configuration

Skills

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • 1-3 years experience in a system admin/customer support role
  • Experience supporting Windows and Active Directory platform, Webex Calling, Intune, M365, VMware, and Citrix
