Description
We are looking for an experienced Non-IT Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives and oversee application development projects in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this long-term contract role, you will manage delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while meeting organizational objectives. This position requires strong communication skills and expertise in project management, with a focus on enhancing user experiences and driving business readiness.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic planning processes and templates.
Coordinate and manage multiple workstreams including requirements gathering, development, testing, and business readiness.
Implement effective change control processes to manage project scope and mitigate risks.
Communicate regularly with executive leadership and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Enhance user experience by modernizing site structure, navigation, and design to align with brand standards.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure project deliverables meet quality and functional requirements.
Drive strategic planning and execution to achieve cohesive project integration and outcomes.
Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables are met.
Lead efforts to improve communication across teams and streamline workflows for optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders in the financial industry to align project goals with organizational objectives.
Requirements
Extensive experience in project management, including leading complex initiatives.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
Familiarity with strategic planning processes and project management tools.
Knowledge of the financial industry; retirement expertise is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of user experience principles and brand standards.
Proficiency in managing change control and risk mitigation strategies.
Experience with user acceptance testing and quality assurance processes.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure business readiness and successful project delivery.
