Role: Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer III
Location: Cincinnati, OH (relocation on own expense preferred)
Duration: Long term
Role Focus
- This is a senior, hands-on data engineering role centered on building modern data products for the Disputes line of business.
- The engineer will join the Disputes IT Squad, which is in the middle of a full redesign and re-platforming effort mainly around the debit disputes process (80% of total volume) and related back-book migration.
Core Responsibilities
- Own critical data engineering work from day one must be capable of driving projects independently.
- Build a single pane of glass data product that integrates multiple use cases (currently four major ones):
- Reconciliation files
- Business operations reporting for Disputes
- Fraud collaboration data (for Financial Crimes)
- Other regulatory/financial use cases
- Map and modernize data: connect legacy processes to new data domains while ensuring end-to-end connectivity and quality.
- Work with another internal data team to upskill them and transition ownership long term.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions focus on simplifying and unifying overlapping use cases into one cohesive data view.
Tech Stack & Skills

Candidate Profile
- Experienced Data Engineer or Architect not a junior or mid-level contributor.
- Proven ability to lead design discussions, translate business needs into technical designs, and streamline overlapping data requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-stakes program.
- Must be onsite in Cincinnati, OH (relocation on own expense preferred).
