Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Marketing Program Manager (Product Marketing org) for a 12-month contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA.

Client cannot sponsor now or in the future.
Cannot work with additional layers of employment.


This Program Management position will be part of the Product Marketing Organization as a Marketing Program Manager. This person will partner closely with Product Marketing and Pricing Operations to drive key initiatives. Key responsibilities for this role include driving strategic program timelines, managing cross functional teams, and executing time sensitive operational work to support processes and the key milestones. The partner organizations include but are not limited to Pricing Operations, Business Model Strategy, Engineering, DC Services, Quality, Product Marketing, Product Management, finance, and cross-functional Program Management.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross functional leaders to build strategic roadmaps and execution plans to deliver business objectives and milestones.
  • Establish an overall project plan, including key milestones, and drive teams to achieve the project plan within time constraints.
  • Understand and coordinate the sequencing of projects for the plan, understanding and managing the x-team complexities and resource constraints.
  • Understand and assess critical paths and dependencies for delivering the project on time; set up and facilitate discussions between project teams, PMM, Pricing Ops, Pricing Technologies, Product, DC Services, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Performs risk management by identifying key areas and determining contingency plans to help increase the probability of positive events for the project.
  • Aggregates, organizes, and synthesizes program and project information to communicate with the extended team and management
  • Resolve misalignments across requirements, priorities.
  • Carry out operational processes and time sensitive tasks; may need to partner with other teams to complete specific tasks.
  • Evaluates existing processes and Makes recommendations and potentially drive process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, etc) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive release management activities to ensure the successful deployment of system.

Required Skills:
  • Strong program and project management skills, demonstrating a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience leading complex programs, able to define and establish program structure, identify dependencies, and manage governance frameworks
  • Ability to handle complex, highly cross-functional projects with a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work with technical teams - can help translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and think quick on your feet given the fast change in business needs.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, and ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to appropriately communicate with the intended audience, especially executives.
  • Excellent documentation skills and high attention to detail to ensure that timelines are met and key issues are managed.
  • Quick learner and proactive in solving problems.
  • 5-8 years of experience in project or program management, business operations, or marketing project management/operations roles.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in high tech, SaaS, and mobile is a plus.
  • System tool knowledge: SharePoint, Jira, MSFT Office, Slack, SAP, Workfront, and Pricing Tools is a plus.
