Job Summary
We are seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated IT Broadcast Systems Engineer to support backend infrastructure for internal and external production environments. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with engineering and business operations teams, and requires a strong foundation in IT systems, particularly macOS and Linux environments. While broadcast experience is not required, familiarity with media workflows and tools such as JAMF is a plus.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for macOS and Linux-based production environments.
  • Maintains network quality, minimize customer outages and communicate technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass-down meetings.
  • Tunes and trouble-shoots various types of IP and fiber decoders/encoders.
  • Insures a clean and dust free environment in all technical areas. Maintains the integrity of the system wiring and documentation.
  • Coordinates and supports internally and externally run company broadcast events. Provides assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture and the development of technical standards for video over IP.
  • Provides basic resolution for routine network problems, coordination of support of end user problems, occasionally direct end user support for executives.
  • Contributes to projects supporting the implementation, operations and management of the real time, network-computing infrastructure.
  • Installs and repairs broadcast operations equipment as needed.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in IT systems administration or engineering, particularly with macOS and Linux.
  • Experience with backend systems in media or production environments.
  • Experience with JAMF or similar Apple device management tools preferred; ability to support and manage macOS and iOS devices in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
