Job Details
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 Months with Possible extensions
Key Responsibilities (what success looks like)
- Perform AI risk assessments for internal and thirdparty initiatives; document findings and recommend targeted mitigations; coordinate with SMEs to incorporate their evaluation/inputs and ensure comprehensive review coverage.
- Reduce backlog by following up with business teams to resolve incomplete or unclear submissions and to drive items to closure.
- Facilitate crossfunctional alignment across Security, Data Privacy, Legal, Architecture, and product/business teams to unblock issues and converge on decisions.
- Identify and pilot process enablers (e.g., light automation, templates, dashboards) that improve efficiency and consistency in AI Governance execution.
- Run intake & triage: validate submissions, classify inherent risk, route to correct path, and shepherd items from initiation to approval with clear status updates.
- Project manage the workflow: own schedules, track milestones, prepare agendas/materials, and report progress/status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience (musthaves)
- Demonstrated curiosity for AI and commitment to its responsible use.
- Handson experience in risk reviews or governance workflows (technology, security, or data governance contexts preferred).
- Working knowledge of AI principles and governance frameworks; awareness of ethical considerations and emerging practices (plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for analysis, communication, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; effective working with both business and technical teams.

- Exposure to model/GenAI risk topics (e.g., data handling, evaluation, monitoring).
- Experience building trackers/dashboards (e.g., Excel/SharePoint lists, Power BI) to visualize pipeline and cycle times.
- Prior experience in regulated or risksensitive environments.
DaytoDay Activities
- Host quick intake/triage huddles, maintain action logs, and send concise followups.
- Review submissions for completeness; request missing evidence (security, privacy, architecture, business).
- Draft/maintain risk assessment summaries & mitigation plans; track owner and due date.
- Prepare stakeholder readouts and meeting materials; capture decisions and next steps.
- Maintain a clean pipeline with SLAs, aging, and status tags; escalate blockers with context.
