In this position...

Ford Motor Company seeks a research specialist to join our digital product team. This person will play a crucial role in connecting product managers with customers. They should be a passionate Researcher, hyper-focused on the end-to-end customer journey.

Ensure product managers apply appropriate research methods that align with the product discovery process. Demonstrate the ability to direct strategic research studies that meet tight deadlines and achieve successful outcomes autonomously. Coordinate and define research approaches that uncover valuable customer insights that continuously drive product enhancements.

What you'll do...
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to facilitate, implement, and manage research requests.
  • Analyze research needs and objectives at each product lifecycle stage to determine an appropriate research strategy.
  • Exhibit a passion for research, helping to define research vision and goals to improve our digital products.
  • Own and manage research timelines with strategic thinking and effective communication.
  • Build strong relationships and research strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Teach, develop, implement, review, and standardize the automation of internal processes to increase throughput.
  • Translate customer feedback into valuable product insights.
  • Drive innovation based on customer research.
  • Standardize and automate internal processes for increased efficiency.
  • Provide executive-level customer service with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.


You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of product experience
  • End-to-end research delivery expertise.
  • Analytical mindset with a quick adaptability to learn new technologies.
  • Proven track record of goal achievement in a fast-paced environment with aggressive goals (KPIs).
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively across internal and external organizations.

  • MBA or equivalent
  • Has product team experience (i.e., Product Manager)
  • 3+ years of product research experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who is customer-obsessed
  • Detail-oriented and customer-focused team player
