Key job responsibilities
Amazon Music Community and Fandom is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer for our team in Sunnyvale or San Francisco office. As a Software Engineer, you will work both independently and alongside teams in Music and third-party to architect and develop large-scale solutions that will delight our customers through voice and visual experiences. You ll also be coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or Android using Swift/Objective C or Kotlin/Java
* Experience developing cross-platform technologies, including React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform / Compose Multiplatform
* -- AND/OR --
* Experience developing backend services using Java, Nodejs
* Experience with building large scale distributed systems on AWS or any other cloud provider.
* Ability to work independently with partner teams to drive innovation and issue closure.
* Passionate about building the best customer experience end to end
* Goal-oriented and results-driven; thrives in a culture of ownership, delivery, and bias for action
* Enjoys working in fast-paced environments, and communicates well with stakeholders, peers, and team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
