Job description:
Responsibilities:
- Minimum 8 years experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform services like Dataproc, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
- Minimum 3 years of Dataproc / Hadoop setting up, configuring, and managing Hadoop clusters, including adding and deleting nodes.
- Utilizing tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Developing and maintaining automation pipelines for building, deploying, and managing applications and infrastructure.
- Utilizing tools like Stackdriver and Cloud Monitoring to monitor cloud infrastructure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with Linux system administration tasks & understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud security principles.
- Working with cross-functional teams, including developers, security, and operations teams, to define cloud architecture best practices and ensure compliance.
- Keeping abreast of the latest Google Cloud Platform technologies, best practices, and security recommendations.
