Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Asset Technician to join their team onsite for a 6 month contract opportunity in Niskayuna, NY and provide end-user support.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Be able to account for work using visual task board, ServiceNow Ticket System, and during regular team stand up meetings
  • Identify, catalog, and remediate OT (Operational Technology) assets
  • Define deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for projects
  • Comfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's site
  • Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations


Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience supporting PC Hardware and software and asset/inventory management skills
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT support field
  • Experience with asset management
  • Basic network troubleshooting plus comfortability to act as smart hands for infrastructure issues required
  • Experience supporting an engineering and / or manufacturing enterprise environment
  • Use a confident, positive attitude to deliver great customer experience and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction
  • Demonstrating high energy is desired given fast-paced environment
  • Understand computers and have a basic understanding of troubleshooting PC software as well
  • Strong inventory control experience
  • Must know OT vs DT technology on site. (Operating Technology vs Digital Technology)
  • Ability to work with strong personalities
  • Coachable, team player able to meet customer expectations regularly and respond well to feedback from leadership
  • Dependability: both to get work done independently, and for attendance for availability to work scheduled hours. Trusted to work proactively is a key attribute given limited site IT Leadership
  • Must be energetic, professional, social, and process driven
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Must be detail-oriented, and able to communicate with various business units
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to work with others when additional access is needed


Wage Range :
The rate for this position is between $25.50 - $37.40 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
