Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a pivotal role in analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews and facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Utilize business analysis techniques, such as process modeling, use cases, and user stories, to create comprehensive requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to optimize workflows and systems.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to define testing strategies, develop traceability matrices, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing efforts.
Support the creation of business cases and cost-benefit analyses to justify proposed solutions.
Lead and document business process redesign initiatives, focusing on eliminating manual tasks and enhancing efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and deliver clear, audience-specific presentations and documentation to stakeholders.
Promote adaptability and provide guidance to team members navigating change management processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis with a strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in business analysis techniques, such as process modeling, context diagrams, and use cases.
Familiarity with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including Agile.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing processes.
Knowledge of annuity concepts and their application in business processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
