At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem- solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.
You will join the New Glenn Launch Systems Analysis and Integration team, a diverse and experienced team of engineers, analysts, and system architects who provide the technical framework for designing and operating the New Glenn launch vehicle. In this role, you will lead the team's impact on all aspects of in-flight telemetry planning, including vehicle and marine telemetry configurations. You will develop telemetry requirements and provide mission specific telemetry plans that meets those requirements.
As the Telemetry Architect, you will collaborate with an accomplished team of launch vehicle systems, software, and hardware engineers, as well as flight science analysts. In this role, you will lead and execute telemetry planning that ensures all data is delivered from the New Glenn launch vehicle and is available for stakeholders for every mission.
You will contribute significantly to the team's development of tools for managing flight data planning, and interfaces to other design and operations tools that tightly couple with mission planning. You will apply the appropriate regulatory compliance, change control, and safe practices as a foundation to your responsibilities.
You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where you will drive innovation and demonstrate personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate is highly diligent and future-thinking, can handle a broad set of diverse data, and has a deep passion for Blue Origin's mission.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
