TEKsystems has a contract role for an SAP Reporting Analyst. The role is focused around heavy Finance data in COPA and Product Costing in SAP S4 HANA enviroment. This role is an analyst role supporting issues with finance reports, reconciliation work.
Critical Role Clarification for Candidates:
This is NOT a traditional SAP implementation role. This role specifically requires strong
confidence in:
Functional experience with product costing and margin analysis
Hands-on experience with reconciliations in these areas
COPA (Profitability Analysis) module expertise
Post-implementation support work (NOTconfiguration/implementation)
What you will do:
Responsible for working with, and providing direction to, business & system integrators in a
project setting to ensure SAP Reporting solutions in the Record to Report area meet business
requirements, achieve a high level of systems integration, follow SAP best practice, and enrich
the user experience.
Specific activities of the role include analysis of issues in current Margin Analysis reports,
refining requirements to improve reporting, process improvements, solution design, refinement
of functional specifications, and sometimes configuration within an S/4 environment
Work directly with business stakeholders to collaborate on SAP R2R Reporting solutions
required to meet business objectives
Determine optimal approach to develop and deliver required SAP R2R reporting insights from
financial, architectural, operational perspectives.
Own the analysis & recommendations for SAP R2R Reporting issues, be it configuration, master
data, transactional data or reports.
Define and execute test plans, and/or review outcomes, to validate SAP R2R Reports.
What you will bring:
Minimum 10 years of practical experience in SAP R2R Functional solution design and delivery.
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills of SAP R2R Reports specially margin analysis/COPA
reports.
Strong SAP Margin/COPA implementation and reconciliation experience with solid functional
integration knowledge with other SAP modules such as OTC, P2P, S2D & F2P.
Deep familiarity with SAP financial tables (ACODA, ACDOCP, BKPF, BSEG, FAGLFLEXA, KEKO,
KEPH etc.) and SAP Margin Analysis/COPA rebuilds.
Hands on experience of working on large & complex data sets, MS Excel reconciliations.
Strong experience in tracing data discrepancies across SAP S/HANA, HANA Database, and other
environments such as BW, Power BI etc.
Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university or technical school in Computer
Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related equivalent
Experience working in various sub-modules of S/4HANA FICO with solid integration with SD, MM
& PP. Hands-on experience in Product Costing with Material Ledger in MTO scenarios and FSCM
although not mandatory would be considered a bonus.
Understanding of RICEFWs and ability to gather requirements and prepare functional
specifications specially for SAP Financials Reports.
Effective with creative solutioning and communication to influence and facilitate resolution of a
problem/business issue.
Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and facilitation skills
Ability to work independently or as a team with both technical and non-technical staff
Willingness to learn, teach and share information with teammates, peers, management, and
users
S/4HANA Integration Knowledge:
Experience with OTC (Order to Cash), P2P (Procure to Pay), S2D (Source to Deploy) processes
Understanding how COPA integrates with SD, MM & PP modules
Knowledge of cross-functional business processes that feed into profitability analysis
Advanced Reporting Tools Experience:
Power BI experience for data visualization and reporting
BW (Business Warehouse) knowledge for data warehousing
Understanding of RICEF objects and functional specifications for reports
Material Ledger & Product Costing Specialization
Product Costing with Material Ledger in MTO (Make-to-Order) scenarios
FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management) experience
SAP Margin Analysis/COPA rebuilds experience
