About the Opportunity
iSphere, a premier IT consulting company in Houston, is seeking a dedicated ITS Support Technician for a long-term opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong networking skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to thrive in both technical support and field service environments.
As a Level 3 Support Technician, you ll resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues while delivering outstanding support to internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities

Provide expert Level 3 support for desktops, laptops, applications, and network connectivity.

Serve as the point person for high-priority customer issues and manage escalations effectively.

Support POS applications and third-party software with solutions, workarounds, and timely advice.

Create and manage service tickets using a ticketing system, documenting all interactions and resolutions.

Resolve issues with VPN, VLAN, IP addressing, mobile devices, printers, and telephony.

Monitor systems proactively to identify and resolve outages and technical failures.

Deliver support in-person, via phone, and email while maintaining professional communication.

Support on-site service and field operations, including equipment troubleshooting and ticket reconciliation.

Work with vendors to address and resolve hardware/software concerns.

Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other ITS Support Technicians.

Help maintain updated and standardized service desk procedures.
Required Technical Knowledge
-
Strong understanding of networking protocols - VPN/VLAN/IP addressing

Experience with remote access software and remote desktop tools

Knowledge of Cisco Meraki configurations and infrastructure

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Exchange, and Active Directory

Familiarity with ticketing systems and service management best practices

Exposure to mobile device support and internet/wireless troubleshooting
Preferred Experience
-
5+ years of IT support or help desk experience
-
5+ years of customer service experience in a tech environment
-
Field technician or field service experience is a strong plus
-
Experience supporting retail systems, POS technology, or multi-location environments

Background in supporting and documenting IT projects
Education & Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED (required); additional IT certifications are a plus

Strong ability to interpret technical documentation and generate reports

Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical users

Professional, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable in fast-paced environments
