Job Title: IT Business Analyst Salesforce (CRM)
Location: NY Metro Area, NYC (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, analytical, and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to support business users on a day-to-day basis. This role focuses on supporting a CRM-driven technology platform used for fundraising, marketing, and investor relations activities. The platform includes Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) as the primary CRM, along with supporting applications for events management and investor portals.
The ideal candidate will have strong CRM expertise, deep data understanding, and the ability to translate business needs into clear technical solutions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high data integrity across investor accounts and contact data while continuously improving business and IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of business and IT processes supporting fundraising, sales, and investor relations; translate these into clear documentation and visual process flows
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CRM and investor data, ensuring reports and dashboards are accurate, reliable, and meaningful
- Design, implement, and test process improvements related to contacts, investor accounts, events management, compliance, and reporting
- Translate user requests into detailed technical requirements; configure CRM fields, workflows, and advanced reports to support sales and outreach activities
- Analyze investor, contact, and financial data to create data quality checks, reconciliations, and health metrics
- Partner with IT development teams to provide clear requirements and visuals for web applications, SQL queries, APIs, and system integrations
- Collaborate with QA teams to create test cases, investigate data discrepancies, and validate acceptable variances
- Maintain and track deliverables using Azure Boards, ensuring accurate status updates and documentation
- Research, evaluate, and test new tools and applications to enhance the CRM and supporting platforms
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce FSC preferred; Dynamo or similar CRM systems acceptable)
- Experience in buy-side finance environments, including private equity and open-ended funds
- Proficiency with Visio for process mapping and swim-lane diagrams
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, multi-sheet data analysis)
- Experience with Power BI, including building reports from SQL queries and joining multiple data sources
- Working knowledge of SQL for writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting queries
- Strong understanding of data relationships and data integrity across systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality
- Self-driven, well-organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
