Role : ETL / API Developer
Location : Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Duration : Contract on W2
JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking experienced ETL/API Developers to design, build, and optimize data integration workflows and APIs for enterprise-scale systems in the financial domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ETL tools, data warehousing, and API development, with Informatica as the primary ETL platform and Ab Initio as a secondary/optional tool. Candidates should also be comfortable working collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust ETL workflows and data pipelines using Informatica (primary) or Ab Initio (secondary), and other ETL frameworks as needed.
  • Extract and process data from multiple sources including databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud storage.
  • Develop and expose secure RESTful APIs to enable data access, sharing, and integration across systems.
  • Optimize data transformation processes involving cleansing, filtering, joining, and aggregating large datasets.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for performance-tuned data extraction and transformation.
  • Work across multiple database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Apply data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization, denormalization) to support reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure data quality, validation, and profiling for accurate and consistent data delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data integration solutions with business and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 10 years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
  • Strong SQL programming and performance optimization skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica (primary) and/or Ab Initio (secondary) for ETL workflows.
  • Experience with API development and integration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and quality control processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments within large enterprise systems.
  • Financial domain experience is a plus.
