Job Description:
  • The Data Migration Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing data, developing migration strategies, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data transfer between systems while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business requirements for data migration, working closely with stakeholders to understand data usage and business processes.
  • Analyze source and target data to identify discrepancies, quality issues, and integrity gaps.
  • Create detailed data mapping specifications to define data transformation and transfer from source to target systems.
  • Develop and contribute to data migration strategies, risk assessments, migration plans, and quality testing approaches.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, subject matter experts, and business users to ensure effective execution.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including functional and technical specifications, test reports, and training materials.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance data migration efficiency and data integrity.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress to all stakeholders.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with databases.
  • Ability to understand and document complex business processes.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, preferably using IDMC tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams.
Requirement/Must Have:

  • Experience in at least two of the following areas:

    GW PolicyCenter.
  • Property and Casualty Insurance.
  • Data Migration Process.
