World Wide Technology is looking for a RF Network Engineer. This job is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services.
The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners.

RF Network Engineer Brooks, CA 95606 12 months contract.

Summary: As a Network RF Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, testing, and optimization of radio frequency systems and components. Your role will involve working closely with other engineering teams to ensure the performance and reliability of wireless communication networks. You will utilize your expertise in RF technology to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of cutting-edge wireless solutions. It will be important to have a foundational knowledge of Network Administration, Telecommunications and Transmission technologies.

Responsibilities:

Design and optimize radio frequency systems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF circuits.
Serve as expert on overall Network issues and assist in troubleshooting communication and application incidents
Conduct RF simulations and measurements to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate RF components into overall system designs.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of RF systems to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Develop prototypes and conduct field trials to validate RF designs in real-world environments.
Analyze RF propagation characteristics and optimize network coverage and capacity.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in RF technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance product performance.
Implement new installation of network access location across client venues. This will include the coordination of Network Systems, Structured Cabling solution installation and WAN Circuits
Document network design specifications, test procedures, and results for reference and future use.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related professional experience.
Proven experience in RF design, simulation, and testing, preferably in the telecommunications or wireless industry.
Proficiency in RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar.
Strong understanding of RF principles, including modulation techniques, antenna theory, and wireless communication protocols.
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for RF emissions and interference mitigation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex RF systems.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Experience with cellular, Wi-Fi, or other wireless communication technologies.
Knowledge of software-defined radio (SDR) platforms and RF software development.
Certification in RF design or related field (e.g., Certified Wireless Network Professional, RF Engineer Certification).
Experience with RF semiconductor devices and RFIC design.
Familiarity with network planning and optimization tools for RF coverage prediction and analysis.
Additional OEM Experience a plus
