Role: IT Asset Management (ITAM) Consultant

Locations: 100% Remote (Client is in EST)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Senior Candidates Only 13+ Years

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of specific experience in IT Asset Management, with a focus on Open-Source governance.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NYDFS and software compliance.
  • Experience with inventory tools and scanning platforms (e.g., Nexus, ServiceNow).
  • Proven ability to document and implement ITAM lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in financial services or insurance sectors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Certifications in ITIL, ServiceNow, or Open-Source compliance (e.g., Open Chain).

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) Consultant to lead the development and implementation of governance processes for Open-Source software at HIG.
  • This is a critical initiative aimed at closing the NYDFS inventory process gap and establishing a centralized Open-Source asset ownership model from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ITAM governance processes specifically for Open-Source software.
  • Define and document the Open-Source software lifecycle, including acquisition, usage, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Identify and validate primary and secondary inventories across clients, servers, and embedded applications.
  • Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to ensure inventory completeness and accuracy.
  • Lead the execution of inventory certification processes and ensure compliance with NYDFS requirements by October 15th.
  • Coordinate with scanning tools (e.g., Nexus) to ensure 95%+ application coverage.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
