Position Description

CSG is seeking a Technical Analyst to join our national Child Welfare practice. The following Qualifications and Responsibilities encompass the wide range of skills needed and activities performed by our Technical Analysts.

Qualifications
  • Experience with full life cycle systems implementation projects in State Agency environments
  • Hands-on experience with various technical solution architecture facets (e.g. front-end solutions, package-based development foundations, data management, cloud configuration)
  • Experience using an integration solution (e.g. MuleSoft) with package-based development foundation (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience and very good understanding of data management (e.g. conversion, interfacing, integration, data governance) techniques and technical engineering
  • Experience integrating new web applications with existing applications
  • Experience evaluating and determining develop versus configuration solution considerations
  • Expertise in analyzing and making recommendations on improving technology infrastructure
  • Expertise with technology strategy and planning around hardware, software, and large-scale system implementation projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of state government information system security and privacy requirements, including knowledge of the NIST SP 800-53 security and privacy controls
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR)
  • Experience with various levels of testing and testing tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise with MS Office Suite (Word, Power point, Excel, Visio)
  • Knowledge of and experience with child welfare functional areas, business processes, ACF documentation, and CCWIS requirements is preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with Child Welfare systems (SACWIS, CCWIS) and a solid understanding of Child Welfare technical needs and CCWIS implementation projects
  • Experience solutioning and testing package-based development applications is a plus
  • Hands on experience using and setting up Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira) is a plus
  • Good understanding of state government program modernization technical needs (e.g., interfaces with other state systems)
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% on average. Relocation is not necessary.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Applies knowledge of and experience with industry best practices and standards to determine solution comparison considerations
  • Advises projects on technical approaches
  • Oversees all technical aspects of the project
  • Observers or participates in design, development, and testing meetings and activities
  • Participates in ongoing risk assessments activities, shares observations as they occur, and assists with the drafting of risk mitigation strategies
  • Performs reviews of project technical documentation and provides feedback
  • Reviews solution configurations to ensure they reflect the approved system development standards and adhere to best practices
  • Reviews technical solution component requirements to identify gaps
  • Serves as a liaison with client technical staff and solution vendor

Travel Requirement: Up to 25% on average. Consultants work remote until needed at client location.
