Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer at Delta Electronics, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Delta's advanced equipment and systems-including power systems, UPS, industrial automation, cooling/thermal management, and building infrastructure.
You will serve as a key technical interface with customers, ensuring system uptime, performance optimization, and exceptional service delivery through hands-on technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and commission Delta equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and health checks to ensure reliable operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software issues.
- Repair or replace defective modules, components, and wiring as needed.
- Execute system upgrades, expansions, and retrofits according to client requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and product teams to resolve technical issues and enhance product reliability.
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and field documentation.
- Provide training to customers and operators on system operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Offer remote technical support and handle field escalations when required.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate tracking records.
- Adhere to safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and company procedures.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed for service support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or application engineering.
- Hands-on experience with power electronics, UPS, DC/AC systems, industrial automation, and thermal/cooling systems.
- Proficient in electrical wiring, control cabinets, PLCs, instrumentation, and reading electrical schematics.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Skilled in interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.
- Sound knowledge of power systems, inverters, battery systems, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet).
- Proficiency with test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
- Experience using diagnostic software, performing firmware updates, and parameter tuning.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in the field.
- Effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
- Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and regional assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or advanced technical certification.
- Prior experience with Delta Electronics' products (UPS, power systems, automation).
- International field service experience.
- Knowledge of local electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Experience with ERP or field service management software.
