Job Summary:


Dexian is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Dearborn, MI.



Responsibilities:



  • Spend the majority of your day coding and pair programming (6+ hours daily)

  • Take business requirements and write the first cut of user stories, refining them with the team before development begins

  • Build applications from scratch, not just modifying existing systems

  • Develop the front end in Angular 18 (~80% of work) and back end in Java Spring Boot with PostgreSQL (~20%)

  • Participate in refinement sessions, code reviews, and architectural discussions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues directly with business stakeholders and end-users

  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure shared understanding of features, best practices, and functionality

  • Contribute to cloud and DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) and deployments (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, PCF)

  • Engage in knowledge sharing sessions weekly to upskill and learn from peers



Requirements:



  • 6-10 years of professional software development experience

  • Strong expertise in Angular (latest versions, ideally Angular 18), with ability to explain features, scope, and design decisions

  • Solid back-end skills with Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, PCF) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins)

  • Proven experience in building applications from scratch - taking requirements through to implementation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; thrives in pair programming and highly interactive environments

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to ask questions to ensure deep understanding of functionality
