Job Title: 2/L3 Network Engineer (Citrix Netscaler)
Location: Redmond , WA (Onsite)

Primary Skills: Technical expertise and hands-on experience on Netscaler ADCs to manage and troubleshoot load balancing, application delivery and security solutions.

  • Experience: L2: 5 to 7 years and L3: 7 to 10 years

Required Skills:

    1. Expertise in Netscaler ADC products including Netscaler MPX, SDX, VPX, CPX and BLX
    2. Ability to manage Netscaler in various environments.
    3. Handson knowledge of Netscaler Application Delivery Controller (ADC)
    4. Understanding of OSI Layer 3/4 and Layer 7 load balancing techniques.
    5. Familiarity with configuring persistence methods.
    6. Setting up virtual servers, services and service groups to manage traffic and backend servers
    7. Configuration of SSL/TLS offloading and managing digital certificates
    8. Implementing GSLB and configuring ADNS (authoritative DNS)
    9. Deployment of HA pairs using HA-INC or floating IP
    10. Managing redundant Netscaler appliances in active-passive or active-active modes
    11. Mitigating DDoS attacks by leveraging Netscaler's traffic management capabilities
    12. Configuring experience in Netscaler AppFirewall is preferred.
    13. Integrating Netscaler with other security appliances like Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and Checkpoint FWs
    14. Experience with analyzing Netscaler logs and generating reports on traffic patterns, events and server health etc. Generating reports for compliance with HIPAA
    15. Familiarity with MPLS & WAN communication technology like Internet VPN, SSL VPN.
    16. Knowledge of Load Balancer, WAN Optimizer and security devices is an additional advantage.
    17. Familiarity with ITIL Framework concepts such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
    18. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
    19. Flexibility for long working hours and readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts and weekends.
    20. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels.
    21. Ability to work alone as an individual contributor and as a participant in a team environment.

  • Preferred Certifications: CCA-N, CCP-N, CCE-N
