SQL Database Architect

Location: Parsippany, NJ Hybrid

They are in need of a SQL Server Architect. To oversee 2 DBAs and liaison with 15-20 different development teams. They need to know advanced DBA tasks and foresee/predict any possible issues with new applications. Knowledge of cloud is a major plus.

  • Architect scalable and robust database schemas to support business data requirements, utilizing extensive SQL experience for efficient database structures.
  • Apply expertise in SQL performance tuning to optimize database operations and enhance data retrieval and manipulation speed.
  • Implement SQL database security measures, including robust access controls, encryption, and auditing policies, to protect sensitive data.
  • Design and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, optimizing query performance and ensuring data integrity.
  • Lead data migration and integration projects, ensuring seamless data transfers and accurate data consolidation with extensive SQL expertise.
  • Develop strategies utilizing SQL expertise to ensure business continuity, including robust backup procedures and data replication.
  • Manage SQL databases across various platforms, ensuring consistent performance and data integrity.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for SQL database architectures, coding standards, data models, and reporting protocols to ensure consistency and clarity across technical projects.
  • Provide expert advice and support on SQL database management, reporting, and Performance or Database designs.
  • Design, develop and promote data strategy, architecture, methodologies, and standards for modern platforms.
  • Provide vision and thought leadership on High-Level Architecture and Design, to establish data architecture frameworks.
  • Interpret and deliver impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Should have hands on experience with availability group, Distributed availability group and replica.
  • Experience with handling huge database and Redesign, Partition table if needed
  • Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems for processing by QRM
  • Experience with logging, Monitoring, and alerting
