This university is searching for a Principal Information Security Architect to join their team. In this role, you'll play a huge part in planning, designing, and maintaining a robust information security architecture across all university functions. You should have experience in endpoint security, network security, vulnerability management, and be a security initiative SME. Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in information security, project management, information technology, data services, application services, IT service management, or related fields.
  • Expertise in translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions and designing and developing information security across the organization.
  • Enterprise-level understanding of key modeling and description languages for mapping complex business processes, developing large-scale architectures, and creating reference frameworks.
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks, principles, and industry-leading practices, especially related to research and academic asset protection.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive information security architecture.
  • Conduct analyses at all levels, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Design and implement security controls and countermeasures, integrating them seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures by designing a security architecture that aligns with regulations.
  • Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, providing engineering recommendations.
  • Utilize encryption, access management, event analysis, vulnerability tools, and techniques to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
  • Collaborate closely with Security Engineering and operational teams to validate and assure security baselines settings.
  • Manage complex security architecture projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
