Onsite Support Technician

Location : Madison, WI

Contract : 6+ months with hire possibility

Need to start in 1 week or Sept 15th

This is an On-site role.

Position Overview:
The Onsite Support Technician is responsible for providing hands-on technical support and maintenance for end-user devices, servers, and network equipment within the organization s physical locations. This role ensures that IT systems are operational, secure, and compliant with company policies and industry standards. The Onsite Support Technician will also be responsible for maintaining all necessary certifications required to access and manage supported systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and peripherals in InTune, SCCM, and Thin Client Platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to operating systems, applications, and connectivity for supported platforms, including Windows, Linux, and network devices.
  • Administer and manage user access for local systems, following established security and compliance protocols.
  • Unlock or reset passwords for users as needed, supporting day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of support tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to the onsite environment.
  • Maintain and renew certifications required for system access and management, ensuring continued compliance and eligibility.

Qualifications:

  • Experience providing onsite technical support for end-user devices, servers, and network equipment.
  • Strong understanding of IT support principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
