Systems Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support the stability, security, and performance of enterprise technology infrastructure. This role is hands-on across servers, desktops, networking, and security, while also providing responsive support to end users. The Systems Administrator will play an important part in maintaining reliable systems, strengthening cybersecurity, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support for software, hardware, and system-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, printers, switches, phones, and mobile devices.

  • Perform regular system monitoring, backups, patch management, and troubleshooting for connectivity, latency, and performance issues.

  • Support data and reporting tools, collaborating with business teams to train users and refine requirements.

  • Administer Active Directory, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services.

  • Oversee virtualization environments and manage updates, configurations, and performance.

  • Maintain security protocols, monitor threats, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.

  • Research and recommend improvements in technologies, tools, and processes to enhance infrastructure reliability.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of experience in systems and network administration across Windows and macOS environments.

  • Proficiency in system installation, configuration, patching, and third-party software deployment.

  • Strong experience with Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and related services.

  • Hands-on expertise with VMware and virtualized environments.

  • Knowledge of information security practices, with experience supporting security monitoring and investigations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver projects on time.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
