Schedule: Monday - Saturday
Hours: 6:30 am to 7 pm
Job Summary:
The Technician must be capable of performing the technical duties expected at this level and serve as a lead member of a technical team. This role involves coordinating small groups of installers to complete daily tasks while ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Pull and install 4" Microduct and follow COMMERCIAL labeling standards.
  • Work in a construction environment.
  • Perform cable testing, including continuity tests on horizontal and riser cables; use volt-ohmmeters; troubleshoot issues such as opens, crosses, shorts, and transposed pairs; and use tone sets.
  • Identify active voice or data circuits.
  • Take responsibility for crew performance, provide training, and coordinate personnel and timelines to ensure project completion.
  • Accurately and promptly complete all required paperwork (e.g., timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
  • Adhere to all company, customer, and industry safety and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Must be self-motivated, professional, and proactive in improving project processes.

  • Serve as a liaison with customer representatives.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • Travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Tools will be provided.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field, with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Proficiency with required tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Must meet company driving standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
