Job Description
An established (30+ years) precision machining firm is seeking a CNC Operator to support its custom manufacturing operations in Dover, Ohio. This is a hands-on production role responsible for operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision components used across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and fluid power.
The Dover facility specializes in small- to mid-volume production runs with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and fast turnaround. Operators work closely with setup personnel and programmers to ensure each part meets engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency operating CNC mills and/or lathes
Familiarity with machine controls and tool offsets (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Okuma)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and basic GD&T
Comfortable performing in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Requirements:
Operate CNC machines to produce precision metal components to spec
Monitor machine performance and adjust feeds, speeds, or tools as needed
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
Conduct quality checks during production runs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work collaboratively with programmers and supervisors to ensure production goals are met
